4cups filtered water
4green tea bags (or 4 tsp loose-leaf green tea)
1tsp 1–2 honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
1/2lemon, thinly sliced
1/2lime, thinly sliced (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (about 1/4 cup)
Ice cubes

Heat the water: Bring water to about 175°F–185°F (not boiling). Pour into a heatproof pitcher or teapot.

Steep the tea: Add tea bags or loose tea (in an infuser). Steep for 5–7 minutes depending on desired strength. Remove tea bags or infuser.

Sweeten (optional): Stir in honey or maple syrup while warm, if desired.

Chill: Let the tea come to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold (about 20–30 minutes).
