These bite-sized Caprese Bites featuring fresh mozzarella, sweet tomatoes, and fragrant basil are elevated with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Light, elegant, and bursting with flavor, they make the perfect modern hors d’oeuvre or refreshing snack.
Ingredients
1pint cherry or grape tomatoes
8oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
1bunch fresh basil leaves
Balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)
Extra virgin olive oil (optional drizzle)
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper (optional)
16small 16–20 cocktail picks or toothpicks

Prepare ingredients: Rinse tomatoes and basil, and pat dry. Drain mozzarella balls.

Assemble bites: On each pick, layer one tomato, one basil leaf (folded if large), and one mozzarella ball. Repeat until all ingredients are used.

Plate and drizzle: Arrange bites on a serving platter. Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze and olive oil if desired. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
