Aloe Vera Citrus Cooler, Lime & Lemongrass

Ingredients

  • Base Drink:
  • 1 cup aloe vera juice unsweetened, inner-leaf or whole-leaf
  • ½ cup cucumber thinly sliced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of ½ orange or 1 Tbsp yuzu juice
  • 1 small lemongrass stalk bruised and cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp honey or agave optional
  • A few mint or holy basil tulsi leaves
  • 1 cup cold water or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional Enhancements:
  • 1 tsp rosewater or orange blossom water
  • 1 –2 slices of fresh ginger or a dash of ginger juice
  • Pinch of sea salt or pink salt for mineral boost

Instructions

  • Optional Infusion (for deeper flavor):
  • In a jug or teapot, combine cucumber, lemongrass, mint/basil, and ginger slices with aloe juice and water. Let steep for 20–30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Mix the Cooler:
  • Add lime juice, orange/yuzu juice, and sweetener (if using). Stir well.
  • Serve:
  • Strain if desired for clarity.
  • Pour over ice in chilled glasses.
  • Garnish with cucumber ribbons, lime slices, mint leaves, and optionally edible flowers.

Spicy Kick: Add a thin slice of fresh chili or a dash of cayenne for a cleansing bite.
Sweet Variation: Blend with lychee juice or white grape juice for a floral twist.
Chill Tip: Freeze aloe juice into ice cubes and use them for an even cooler presentation.
