Fig-Infused Brie with Toasted Almonds & Honey Drizzle
Ingredients
For the Baked Brie
- 1 small wheel of Brie cheese ~6 oz
- 1/2 tsp fig extract or 1 tsp steeped fig tea for a subtle infusion
- 2 tbsp toasted sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp honey or honey alternative like Wholesome Yum keto honey or Lakanto syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract enhances sweetness naturally
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon optional, adds warmth and depth
- Pinch Pinch of sea salt
- 1 tbsp butter for extra richness, optional

Instructions
Toast the Almonds
- In a dry pan over medium heat, toast sliced almonds for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until golden and fragrant.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Brie
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If desired, cut a shallow crosshatch pattern on top of the Brie to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Place the Brie wheel on a small parchment-lined baking sheet or oven-safe dish.
Infuse & Bake
- In a small bowl, mix fig extract (or fig tea), vanilla extract, honey (or alternative), and cinnamon.
- Drizzle the mixture over the Brie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey in the center.
Garnish & Serve
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with toasted almonds and a pinch of sea salt.
- Drizzle with extra sugar-free honey for a glossy finish.
- Serve warm with keto-friendly crackers, nuts, or veggie slices.
