Ingredients

  • Herbal Tea Blend
  • 1 tbsp dried hibiscus petals food-grade
  • ½ tsp whole cloves
  • 1 star anise pod
  • 1 tbsp dried orange peel or zest from ½ fresh orange
  • ½ tsp cinnamon chips or 1 small stick
  • ½ tsp dried rose petals culinary grade (optional)
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 🍯 Optional Sweetener Low Carb
  • 2 –3 drops liquid stevia or
  • 2 tsp allulose syrup or Swerve® granular to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Simmer & Steep
  • In a small saucepan, bring water just to a boil.
  • Add all herbs and spices. Cover and simmer gently for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Let steep another 5–10 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  • Step 2: Strain & Sweeten
  • Strain into cups or a teapot through a fine mesh sieve.
  • Stir in sweetener to taste, if using.
  • Step 3: Serve
  • Garnish with an orange slice, star anise, or clove-studded peel.
  • Serve hot in glass mugs, or chill and serve over ice for a crimson tonic.
