Iced Green Tea
This refreshing iced green tea is delicately infused with citrus and a touch of mint for a light, clean flavor.Served chilled, it’s the perfect summertime sip — bright, balanced, and gently invigorating, bringing a moment of calm refreshment to warm days.
- 4 cups filtered water
- 4 green tea bags or 4 tsp loose-leaf green tea
- 1 tsp 1–2 honey or maple syrup optional, to taste
- 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lime, thinly sliced optional
- Fresh mint leaves about 1/4 cup
- Ice cubes
Heat the water: Bring water to about 175°F–185°F (not boiling). Pour into a heatproof pitcher or teapot.
Steep the tea: Add tea bags or loose tea (in an infuser). Steep for 5–7 minutes depending on desired strength. Remove tea bags or infuser.
Sweeten (optional): Stir in honey or maple syrup while warm, if desired.
Chill: Let the tea come to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold (about 20–30 minutes).
Serve: Fill glasses with ice and lemon/lime slices. Pour in chilled green tea and garnish with fresh mint.
