Botanical Pansy Garden Lemonade with Floral Ice Cubes
Ingredients
- for the Floral Ice Cubes
- 16 fresh edible pansy flowers
- 2 cups filtered water
- Lemonade Base
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 cups cold water or sparkling water
- 3 –4 tbsp honey allulose, or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Garnish
- fresh mint sprigs
- lemon slices
- additional pansy flowers
Instructions
- Prepare Botanical Ice Cubes
- Place one pansy flower into each compartment of an ice cube tray.
- Fill halfway with water and freeze 2 hours.
- Once partially frozen, add more water to fully cover the flowers and freeze another 2–4 hours.
- (This two-step freezing helps suspend the flowers clearly inside the cubes.)
- Prepare Lemonade
- In a pitcher combine:
- fresh lemon juice
- sweetener
- Stir until dissolved.
- Add cold water or sparkling water and mix gently.
- Assemble Drinks
- Fill glasses with the pansy floral ice cubes.
- Pour lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish
- Add:
- mint sprigs
- lemon slices
- additional pansy flowers floating on top
- The drink will look like a mini spring garden in a glass.
